The official presentation of the Four Gospels and Acts in the Nenets language took place in Salekhard on October 15, 2025. The event was organized by the Salekhard Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church and was held in the conference hall of the Shemanovsky Museum and Exhibition Complex, dedicated to the history of the Orthodox mission on the Yamal Peninsula.

The meeting gathered representatives of the Salekhard Diocese, government officials from the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, translators involved in IBT’s Nenets project, and various public figures and cultural workers. Many Nenets people were present.

The presentation began with a powerful and impressive video. It showed a service at Intercession Cathedral in Salekhard, accompanied by an audio recording of the Gospel in Nenets. This  set the profound atmosphere and highlighted the importance of hearing God's Word in one's native language.

In his welcoming address dedicated to the long-awaited publication, Archbishop Nikolai noted that reading the New Testament is indispensable spiritual nourishment for believers that   contributes to a person's moral transformation. He highly appreciated the labor and great responsibility involved in delivering God's Word to people in their native language, calling this mission the most important and responsible one.

A written address from Bishop Savva, Chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate's missionary department, was then read out. The bishop  praised  the meticulous scholarly work of the Nenets translation team and noted that the new translation "holds significant value for the missionary ministry of the Church, which is directed to the heart of a people who carefully preserve their traditions and culture."

Natalya Gorbunova, IBT’s deputy director , spoke about IBT's 30th anniversary and the modern methods and approaches used in translating the Holy Scriptures.

The event also included an awards ceremony:  translation team members were honored with Patriarchal and Diocesan awards for their dedicated work on the project.
